Εβδομαδα 2! (Week 2)

Temple

I hope everyone had an amazing week. I would just like to say sorry about the picture they are really weird here and everything is blocked on the computers so I do not know how to really fix it so I am really sorry and i will try to get it to work this week. Also i was told I need to apologize now for my Yoda talk because that is how they talk in Greek so please forgive me if it happens.

So it is weird how time passes here cause it feels like just yesterday that I was typing an email but it also feels like it was forever ago. But we had the usually week we started class on tuesday night and then it was just everyday class until Sunday and I love Sundays so much they are the best thing because in the MTC it allows us to focus on the gospel and just really feel the spirit all day which you do everyday but none is as good as Sunday.

This Thursday was a little different in that a group went down to Manchester city to try and teach people for a couple of hours except for us Americans going to Greece and the Americans going to Germany couldn't go because we only have prosilyting visas for our missions and everyone else was able to go so the MTC felt pretty empty on Thursday morning except it was also good for us because we were able to get in some extra language study and personal study. Than we got to go to the temple on Friday which was cool because than friday morning was just like an extension of p-day but it was because the temple is closing in two weeks because of the British Pagent that they do here they are just getting the temple ready for so many people to come. Also another cool thing is that all of the missionaries here get to be in the pagent we are singing at the end and also Elder Holland is going to be here so that is pretty cool hopefully he will stop by so we can have an actual devotional here instead of watching all of the devos from provo don't get me wrong they are still good but there is just something different about actually being in the meeting.

This week i was also able to run almost everyday Elder Howell who is going to Germany likes to run so I am able to go on runs with him and they aren't really that slow and we get to go out to the canal that is nerby and run along that it is really cool just to be able to see actual people sometimes because the MTC gets pretty small a lot of the time and you can't really get out so that has been really fun to be able to do.

This morning we went into Chorley town again and we just went shopping for everything that we needed because there are some small things that you realize during the week that these would be nice to have so it is good that we are able to go into town and buy the things that we need.

I have really been able to apreciate this week the gift of eternal Families and how much they mean not just to me but to everyone and that is one of the great messages of the gospel that we get to share.

Hello!!

England MTC

Hey everybody what a crazy but awesome week it has been. So first off I showed up at the Provo MTC and right when I got there I got pulled aside they told me that my visa came and that I was leaving for the Preston MTC at 4 am the next morning.

We flew all day Thursday and showed up at the Preston MTC at about 11 am here in england so it was like 4 am at home. That makes 24 hours of traveling it was kinda ruff but at least I had Elder Albertson and Elder Balser for company.

We got to the MTC and they let us shower and then we went straight into the lessons. Holy cow greek is just something else but I can now say that the gift of tounges is totally real. Our second day here we gave our first lesson in greek to Margerita. It was cool it was just our teacher acting as an investigator but it was still very cool.

Then we had Sunday and wow I really needed that there were no language classes but just a normal church schedule in the morning. Then a devotional in the afternoon. Then we went for a walk and as soon as we left the MTC grounds someone pulled over and started screaming at us and telling us we were crazy and swearing at us it was actually pretty funny after he drove off. We had a good laugh. Then at night we did family night and we played a game with preach my gospel. I won a bag of snickers which were really yummy. Then we watched a church video with all the people in the MTC because there is only like 40 people here.

Yesterday was a pretty spiritual day and I was able to get a reaffirmation on why I am here and that I am where I am supposed to be.

It is 3:30pm here. This morning we went to the temple which was super awesome because the spirit is so strong in the temple. Then after the temple we were able to go into Chorley town. That was cool. It is really packed in the market center and there are so many people there isnt much to see but there are some cool churches. I will send some pictures. We were able to meet some members from Chorley which was cool because they were so nice to us and everyone was giving us weird looks because we were all in our mission clothes but it was pretty fun to get out into town. And yeah that is about it for the week but always remember that the Lord never gives us challenges that are to hard for us to handle.

Made it to Preston

Hey guys love you we made it to Preston safely. Our flight from Philadelphia was delayed by an hour because of weather but we still made it ok.

In the MTC my companion is Elder Albertson so I already know him which is good. It is so pretty here but my camera died so i didn't get any pictures from the airport to here. I will get some of the MTC it is awesome and so small compared to provo. P-day is Tuesday so i will send you guys all of the details. Right now they are just going to let us get settled a little bit before we do classes and stuff.
